This Is Not Your Average, Sugary Smoothie

Dear GSD Community,

The Huffington Post Canada was kind enough to feature our Global Smoothie Day efforts! So grateful to them.

This article captures why I’m so driven to create movements and design experiences that inspire people to embrace self-care and optimal living – because there’s so much misinformation out there.

I know first hand how hard it is to reverse diet + lifestyle related chronic disease (through my own experience and my late father’s) and I’m not willing to sit back and watch my friends and community follow this path.

The first step is to call out our symptoms, like low energy, fatigue and fog. The next steps involve asking for help (people are always willing to help), experimenting with accessible solutions (smoothies are ONE option) and finding aligned people to hold you accountable. It’s possible to restore health and vitality, but it takes commitment and consistency.
